New FIAATraining Seminars planned
for 2009
PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
Every year at the IAAI Annual General Meeting, awards are given out for various purposes including photography. The photography competition is divided into two categories: Arson and Accidental. These categories are broken down into the following:
- Arson - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and an honorable mention
- Accidental - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and an honorable mention
Photographs sent to the FIAA will be featured in its newsletters and at the end of the year, the Board of Directors will choose which photographs will be submitted to the IAAI competition.
The following rules apply regarding the submission of photographs:
- You must be a member of the IAAI for their competition and a member of the FIAA for the FLASHPOINT newsletter.
- The photographs can be colour or Black and White (8x10).
- The photographs submitted must be the work of the person submitting them and must have been taken within 48 months.
- No identification marks of any kind may be placed on the front of the print.
- Photographs must not be mounted.
- A brief explanation of the subject of the photograph must accompany each photograph submitted.
The following information must be placed on the back of each print:
- Name
- Mailing address
- Telephone number
- Department or company name
- Date of photograph
- Location of photo scene
- Category of photograph
All photographs become the property of the FIAA and the IAAI and will not be returned
Any entry not complying with these rules will be eliminated
All photographs must be submitted by, December 31, 2008 for submission to the IAAI competition and FIAA newsletter.
